National Night Out was a great event in August. Captain Greene showed his skills with a fire fighter combat demonstration. He and other Semmes firefighters created a child size challenge and coached children through it. The community was able to view and interact with first responders and their equipment from the Semmes Police Department, Semmes Fire Rescue, and many from Mobile County such as ambulance services, the flotilla, bearcat and K9s, more. Dominos in Semmes donated pizza for the event. Snow cones were sponsored by Council Member Ebright. The inflatables were donated by South Alabama Inflatables. Fire and Police took turns in the dunking booth. It was a fun event.
