There is a wide variety of athletic programs available in the City of Semmes for young persons of all ages.

Semmes Baseball Association
The purpose of this organization is to operate a baseball program for boys and girls, ages 4 through 12, within the Semmes community. This organization is part of the Cal Ripken organization and there are over 550 participants. The Semmes Baseball organization is an “All Volunteer” organization which is essential in order to maintain a quality program while keeping participation fees affordable. Please contact one of the Semmes Baseball Board members if you would like to volunteer with this worthy organization. Semmes Baseball has four leagues (ages as of April 30th of current year:
- Major- Ages 11 and 12
- Minor- Ages 9 and 10
- Rookie- Ages 7 and 8
- T-Ball- Ages 4, 5 and 6
You can register for Spring Baseball on the last Saturday in January and the first two Saturdays in February. For more information regarding this organization visit our website.
Semmes Girls Softball
This organization’s mission is to provide a quality girl’s softball program within the Semmes Community for girls ages 4 through 18. Semmes Girl Softball is part of the GSSA organization with approximately 250 participants in the Spring and 100 in the Fall. Semmes Softball is an all volunteer non-profit organization.
Semmes Softball has seven leagues (ages as of Jan. 1st of current year, weeball age is as of 3/15).
- 18U- Ages 16-18
- 15U- Ages 13-15
- 12U- Ages 11 and 12
- 10U- Ages 9 and 10
- 8U- Ages 7 and 8
- 6U- Ages 4-6
- Weeball- Age 3 for boys and girls
