Outside the City Limits

Call Mobile County Animal Control – (251) 574-3647. MCAC cannot enforce their ordinances in our City Limits.

Inside the City Limits

Call Mobile County Sheriffs Office – (251) 574-8633. MCSO can enforce state and city laws and can dispatch Animal Control if needed.

Deceased Animal Removal Policy

Outside the Limits

Mobile County Environmental will pick up dead animals in the right-of-way only.

They pick up dead dogs, cats, pigs, horses, cows, deer.
They do not pick up raccoons, opossums, armadillos, etc.
They bury dogs and cats in the right of way
Large animals are carried to the Chastang Landfill

On State Highways (Moffett, Lott, 158)

Dead Animals calls on state highways should be directed to (251) 470-8200.

Inside City Limits

          Environmental does not pick up dead animals in the Semmes City Limits. Dead animal calls inside Semmes City Limits should be directed to Semmes Public Works (251) 649-5752.
