Mrs. Hanbury comes to the City of Semmes with over 28 years of municipal experience. She obtained her Certified Municipal Clerk designation in 2004 and her Master Municipal designation in 2012. She previously worked for the Mayor and City Council in Chesapeake, Virginia attending over 500+ City Council meetings, was the Records Manager, and a Passport Agent during her tenure. Before working with the Mayor and City Council, she worked in Chesapeake’s ‘City Manager’s Office and Planning Department. She is well versed in Municipal Government and attends International Institute of Municipal Clerks’ (IIMC) classes in Alabama for continuing education. Mrs. Hanbury is an active member in IIMC and Alabama Association of Municipal Clerks Association (AAMCA).

          Mrs. Hanbury is married to Jeff and they have two children, Jennifer and Jacob, four grandchildren, Destiny, Annabell, Chase, and Evelyn. They have resided in Alabama since 2016.
