Semmes Municipal Court

Municipal Court

          The Municipal Court for the City of Semmes, Alabama is open daily from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Court is in session on the third Thursday of the month and begins at 5:00 pm.

          The Court is staffed by a State of Alabama Certified Municipal Court Clerk, who is also a State Certified Magistrate. The Court has jurisdiction, by ordinance, over certain Municipal Ordinance Violations that occur within the City Limits and Police Jurisdiction of the City of Semmes, Alabama.

          Allow me to introduce myself; I am Margot (Margo) Woodard, I am a loving wife (married to one of mobile’s finest Sgt. E.L. Woodard), a proud mother, and grandmother to the sweetest babies in the universe. I reside in the Police Jurisdiction of the City of Semmes.

          I am the Magistrate/Court Clerk for the City of Semmes. I also serve as a Notary. I have been here for about a year and a half and I absolutely love my job.

          I am a graduate of Troy University where I received a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. I am a certified Court Clerk/Magistrate from the Administrative Office of Courts and The Alabama League of Municipalities from the State of Alabama. I retired from the City of Mobile as a Court Clerk/Magistrate of 22 years.

          I am here to serve the needs of Semmes and its residents. Semmes is a beautiful place to live and work.
